Each ShellTA measures 150cm wide by 260cm long of waterproof and breathable lightweight hydrophilic membranebased fabric. Each pack includes a stuff sack that measures 35 cm by 10 cm. The ShellTAs dual flap-covered zips accede to ShellTAs bivvy bag function or poncho. Lunch stops in the middle of the day can be more convenient with trekking poles and ShellTA as a tarp.
The hydrophilic fabric used in ShellTA allows it to absorb excess water therefore, eliminating the need to remove damp clothes during rainy treks. Layering ShellTA over damp clothing can cause ShellTA to absorb moisture, thus providing excellent aeration. As a matter of fact, ShellTA, when utilized as a mountain changing room, has two benefits: One, its waterproof breathable fabric absorbs the water from your dry clothes while protecting you still from the rain or storm. This is made possible through ShellTAs hydrophilic and breathable material. During the rainy season, it is always advised to wear the SHellTA under your pack so it will not lose its place with the weather. However, you should be cautioned: Tents can only be as good with the right conditions. Different product reviews would rate ShellTA a 3 out of 10 (10 being the highest) because of its utmost gauzy texture and breadth. However, the ShellTA can still afford extra protection (or alternative warm weather waterproofing) for those instances when a softshell isn’t enough.
Among different soft shell systems, ShellTA can prove to be very versatile and a perfect companion for the outdoors.
